So its been a few days since ive posted anything but you now find me in Las Vegas as we prepare for The Vegoose festival tomorrow night. so when i left you last i believe we on our way to Atlantic City, a hectic day ensued thanks to the late arrival and all that.

Show was OK, crowd were a mix of real fans and people who seemed to be there just because it was something to do on theyre weekend of getting wasted and losing all theyre money in AC.
After a day off at the Borgata Hotel and walking around the boardwalk i woke to the news that our show in Philadelphia would have to be cancelled due to a family emergency foe one of the band members. Im not going into details but needless to say it was certainly serious enough to cancel a show. Luckily everything is OK now and the crisis has passed and im sure the band will be trying extra hard to make it up to the fans when we return to Philly in December to make up the show. So onwards we went to New York for a rather unexpected day off. Still one of my favourite places in the world.

Onto the shows which took place over 2 nights at the Theatre @ Madison Square Garden.
New York is normally a strange audience, mostly reserved but the audience for these 2 shows were very lively and animated. But more on the shows in a minute, show day one also saw the band playing on The Late Show with David Letterman.
I snuck in along with them and managed to get my photo taken on set in the guests chair.

So upon arrival back at the Garden we discovered that there was a basketball game between The NY Knicks and Philadelphia 76rs on upstairs so a quick few conversations and we were upstairs in the press box watching some of the game before our show kicked off.

The Garden is a great looking arena and hopefully we'll get to do a show there one day.
First show was pretty much the same set list the band have been playing for the whole tour so far. In a bizarre moment at the start of the show Brandon came out on stage and said "Hey Potato, are we gonna do our thing?" which drew puzzled looks from a lot of the crowd and caused a whole slew of bizarre posts on the bands message board. Let me lift the veil of mystery. I am Potato. Ronnie started calling me Potato or Tates just after i started working with the band nearly 2 years ago beacuse im irish i guess. Brandon was just trying to make sure i remembered a new lighting cue that we had talked about earlier in the day. And thats it im afraid.

Second nights show was tonight preceded by some Ice Hockey upstairs as NY Rangers took on Florida. Got to stand practically on the Ice for this one thanks to a couple of Media passes thanks to our promotor. Good sport this, really fast moving and exciting and some guy got nailed in the glass surround right in front of us, looked like it bloody well hurt.

So after a bit of moderate violence it was back downstairs for the 2nd show which actually featured a slightly different set list for probably the first time since San Francisco. Back came Andy and Midnight Show and out went Indie Rock N Roll for a night.

The evening ended as always with Exitlude but tonight saw Ronnie deciding to lie lounge style across Brandons piano for some reason.
So off to Boston we went for the final show proper of the tour in America.
The show was taking place at The Orpheum Theatre, an old 1800`s era vaudeville-esque venue which made it a real pain in the ass to bring 2 trucks worth of equipment in and out of.
The guys reverted back to the regular set list tonight and the crowd seemed to love it.

So after a long load out last night after having to split all the gear into seperate trucks, some had to go to Cleaveland, some to Toronto, Some to Vegas and some to Denmark, an hours sleep and a 6 hour flight (3 of which were constant turbulance!!)....Here i am in Las Vegas, where thankfully the weather is a hell of a lot better than it was in Boston. Bout 80 degrees here today. Prob not giong to be much to report over the next few days as we fly to Denmark on Sun for MTV Awards performance and the start of the european tour. Ta Ta For Now
