Here we are then, finally on tour properly. After a week spent in production rehearsals and Jimmy Kimmel studios.
Here is some video of the skit from Kimmel explaining how the band got theyre name.
It was time for the first shows of the tour at The Wiltern in LA. This is one of my favourite venues around.

The guys played well and i thought it was quite a good opener especially given the fact that the album was only out 3 days and the typical LA audience reservation was in effect. There is a good mix of old and new in the show now and the biggest cheers were reserved for "When You Were Young" and "Mr Brightside" i thought. Couple people were starting to sing along with the new ones, bodes well for the future. Of course, being LA there was the usual contingent of Celebs in the audience. Robbie Williams, Lindsey Lohan, Kings Of Leon, Charlize Theron were all in the crowd for the show. Also after the show i went back to our crew room to discover a bunch of people sitting around drinking beer in it who i didnt know so i pointed out that the aftershow was actually down the hall and they very politely offered to leave. Turns out our tour manager put them in there so i told them they could stay. Turns out it was Jessica Simpson and friends. She is an extremely nice and friendly person and very pretty in real life as well.

So after 2 shows there it was onwards to San Francisco for another 2 nighter at the Warfield Theatre. San Fran is probably one of my favourite cities in the world. Again the show went well last night and after walking around the city today taking in some sights i never tire of im now sitting in the crew room again bout an hour before show time on night 2. After this we are off to Portland, Vancouver and Seattle. So hopefully i will have more to talk about in a couple of days time.
