I also discovered that i was in dire need of a haircut as these pictures will most definitely prove
BEFORE

AFTER

Not sure if it could be considered an improvement but its def easier in the mornings
Back to the venue so
This is an updated, improved and larger version of the previous venue. The capacity has been more than doubled. This was a big deal to be asked to open the venue especially as being a hometown show also. The show went fantastically well and the venue was off to a great start.
Since we were headlining Coachella the following night, it was quite important that everything was right for this show so after already having had a long day doing the vegas show. Myself, Mikey(My Tech) and Clint (Pyro Guy) were straight off to Coachella to program lighting and load up the pyro overnight while it was still dark. Check out the plane we flew in

Was especially sketchy when Mikey was allowed to fly the plane briefly

Unfortunately, someone at Coachella neglected to tell me that the lighting rig wouldnt be working until the next morning so basically i sat in the middle of the cold desert from 1am til 11am waiting for the lighting to work. Completely screwing me over in regards to the show.
As for Pyro, they had their work cut out for themselves with a lot of extra pyro added to the show for this gig.

I think the pyro looked pretty good in the end though
Next up we were off to San Jose before back to LA for an appearance on Jay Leno and a tiny gig for KROQ radio at Dimples in Burbank.

Apparently this was the first Karaoke bar in the US.

Was it a mistake that Ray ended up underneath this sign?? You be the judge of that

It definitely had the most interesting bar food menu i've ever seen thats for sure

Lets hope theres more than one person involved in cooking and distributing the menu eh!!
After a meeting at the Hollywood Bowl re our upcoming show there in September, it was off to Seattle for our second gig at the WAMU Theatre in 4 months, having done the pre Christmas radio shows there in December. That night we crossed the border into Canada for a show in Victoria.

I know not too many bands come here but they didnt need to name a street after me, did they?

Off to Vancouver for Canada show #2 before the long (but beautiful) drive Calgary.

Next up we were off to Edmonton before a long 2 day drive to Milwaukee so i took a nice quick flight to Chicago to visit some friends who were on tour with my former charge, Ms Britney Spears. Its quite a spectacular show if you can stomach the music.
After a quick drive North to Milwaukee i still arrived at the hotel before the crew who had driven from Edmonton 38 hours previously.
The Milwaukee show was at the Eagles Ballroom which is a pretty small intimate show and was marked by the fact that we were one week short of it being exaactly 4 years since we previously played the same venue.
It also marked the debut of Brandons "travelling Man" speech that has only been repeated twice since
I also got to see a good friend of mine Becky and meet her lovely new fella.
Next up we on the home stretch with shows in Indianapolis, Bonner Springs and St Louis. We had a day off in St Louis and i've seen a city so empty even on a Sunday, we had trouble even finding a place open to get something to eat.

So, after a few shows in Ohio we were off to Philadelphia for our final day off of the tour before a show in Camden, NJ and on to Uncasville, Connecticut ( By the way, why is it pronounced Con-NET-i-cut and not Con-NECT-i-cut as its spelt??)
Anyway, thats the US shows wrapped up for the moment, off to Europe we go for festival season.
