So after a very rough flight from London to Budapest it was time for a few days rehearsals before starting off the tour again. A bit of sightseeing was in order too i think as we took in the sights and sounds of Budapest.
We visited Buda castle

As well as one of the many holistic spas in the city.
Apparently the water here has a "healing effect due to its slightly radioactive composition" .......And yes that is a direct quote from the pamphlet.
We also saw St Stephens Basilica
And generally wandered around the city finding some great resturants and out of the way back room bars.
I did come across these guys in a weird outdoor stage in the middle of the citys main bridge.
Your guess is as good as mine.
So after that it was off to do our first show in over a month at the Sziget Festival, which is the longest festival in the world with 8 days of music, this year including Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Pink, Faithless, Chemical Brothers, Razorlight and The Hives. It was a pretty well organised show except for the bizarre idea of driving the truck full of equipment through the crowd of 80,000 people to get to the stage, and yes it was the only way of getting it there before you ask. But all that was made up for by some pretty amazing catering and hospitality backstage. We ended the night by having a bizarre dance off in the backstage bar between certain members of our crew (Not me) and Juliette Lewis.
It was a pretty good show and the crowd was very up considering theyd been there for 9 days. Unfortunately Chris Cornell had to cancel due to a bad throat but thay still saw
Eagles Of Death Metal

Juliette & The Licks

And of course The Killers

Next day it was off to Amsterdam for 2 days off and now here i am sitting in the rain at Lowlands Festival in Holland watching Borat on the bus!!
